What should I expect at my newborn session?

Newborn sessions are unique as they are done in the comfort of your own home

There is no need to worry about the weather or taking your new baby out and about. I will come to you. After seeing where our options are to work, I will get my gear and set up. 

Do not worry about a spotless house

You have just had a baby and the last thing you want to do is clean your house. Please don’t. It is completely unnecessary. I bring a little studio setup that is big enough to capture your sweet baby without showing the environment beyond that.

Sessions take about an hour and a half 

Sessions usually take about an hour and a half, but during this time your baby’s needs will determine our time frame. If Baby needs a change or to stop and eat, then that is what we do. It is completely ok if the session runs long. I am not dictated by the clock but feel your baby’s needs to be clean, fed, and comfortable are more important. It is good to block out a few hours for this.

During the session, relax, enjoy, and have a cup of tea

I am sure that you are exhausted. Feel free to make yourself a cup of tea, relax, and enjoy watching your beautiful new baby have their portraits taken.
